![]() ![]() You can also significantly develop colonies - but that is done indirectly through planet actions and designations (basically instructions on how you want a colony to be developed on a high level)ĮXterminate - you can challenge other Great Houses and subjugate them, essentially eliminating them as a threat.Overview It is important for the protagonist to develop and form relationships with foreigners, make difficult decisions, trying to create a policy that is beneficial to people in the process. and build them to 3 levels of development. But it certainly has the foundation of a 4X:ĮXplore - you can send scout ships and interstellar probes to scout systems and more specifically planets (the new version planets will have a more detailed scouting model that only uses probes)ĮXpand - you grow your empire by claiming systems through accumulating the highest influence score in a system (by building outposts, having a military presence, external influence radiating from your other holdings, etc) and when you colonize a planet in an undeveloped system you claim the system and build a system capital, and you claim new provinces the same way.ĮXploit - you can build numerous outposts - farming, mining, energy, military, etc. It’s hard to neatly pidgin hole this sort of game since it’s a cross of several genres. Hello! I’m the developer of AotSS and I wanted to address this point specifically since it comes up a lot. It’s been worked on for many years and seems so far along so hopefully the project would survive a KS failure. It’s kickstarter campaign is over half way through but it’s not even at half funded which is a bit worrying. Haven’t seen any space battle footage so I dunno how that’s managed. A simple thing but I also love how the planets moons just swing past the camera while you’re managing the world. Planetary management looks interesting, those separated regional environments and developments remind me of MOO3. feels kinda of like a ‘Dune – Padishah Emperor simulator’ managing those pesky greedy disobedient houses haha! So maybe closer to Stellaris or Crusader Kings than MOO. Looks like an interesting attempt at being different from regular Master of Orion like 4x space strategy games by focusing more on you the emperor. That MOO like project called Alliance of the Sacred Suns posted in this group recently started it's kickstarter a few weeks back. Created by /u/Kryogenetics, it's a collage of some of the 4X genre's greatest games: Endless Legend, Civilization, Endless Space and Galactic Civilizations. If you have any questions about the rules or need clarification please do not hesitate to message the moderators and ask!. ![]() Please do not post subsequent episodes or parts.
